Observation Beach – Abel Tasman National Park
Sunday 23 April 2023
We had a gorgeous sunny Saturday, with ten trampers heading out to Observation Beach in the Abel Tasman.
Two members brought their togs and went for a refreshing swim, leaving several of us a bit envious that we hadn’t brought ours!
We shared the beach with several kayakers and families making the most of the lovely weather.
Amidst our lunch break, a sly and patient weka made off with one of our tramper’s plastic wrapped sandwiches! You would think we would be hardened veterans to these scavengers, but alas the weka won the day.
Our trampers included Terri as leader along with Liz, Julian, David W, Gael, Ross, Sharen, Kari, Era and Felicity.
